We are fortunate enough to go on several trips a year to such exotic locations as India, China, and South America. During our journeys we stumble across unique items that might be vintage, antiques, or even the last one left. So, every trip, we're sure to bring our empty suitcases to fill with these rare finds so we can carry them back home.

What is your role at Wisteria? I am the Senior Creative Manager, I manage all the photography for the catalog and web. I direct and edit the photography at the photo shoots and the styling on set.
Handmade Books in Jaipur, India
This company was started when three young friends rented a booth at a trade fair 14 years ago to sell books and bags made of handmade paper. This Indian artisan has grown great lengths since then and now specializes in handmade paper, bags, books, and leather products. They are located in Jaipur, India and also have a small group of designers and workers from a small village outside of Jaipur.

2. Industrial Age. This trend keeps reinventing itself and looks great mixed in with all types of styles.
3. Seams like old Times…Lots of details in the seams of furniture and accessories. Flanged piping was a favorite!

Earlier this month, we mentioned how Native American patterns have exploded this year, with designers like Proenza Schouler and Missoni featuring designs on the runway, and how it has made its way into home decor. Let’s take a look at what is trending for the home this fall that parallels fashion trends for the season.
Texture, texture, texture!
Mix up the textures in a space to create focal points, allowing the eye to travel across the room and take in all its wonderful elements.
Layered elements.
The runway displayed various forms of mixed media: Feathers with leather; wearable plastics with satin. At home, this same concept can be done by mixing woods, metals, and glass, creating a soothing atmosphere without looking sterile.
Colors inspired by nature.
Pantones for fall include subtle olive tones, vibrant oranges, and soft neutrals.
