Exotic Decor at Our Dallas store

We are fortunate enough to go on several trips a year to such exotic locations as India, China, and South America. During our journeys we stumble across unique items that might be vintage, antiques, or even the last one left. So, every trip, we're sure to bring our empty suitcases to fill with these rare finds so we can carry them back home.

Handmade Books in Jaipur, India

Making Books by Hand

This company was started when three young friends rented a booth at a trade fair 14 years ago to sell books and bags made of handmade paper. This Indian artisan has grown great lengths since then and now specializes in handmade paper, bags, books, and leather products. They are located in Jaipur, India and also have a small group of designers and workers from a small village outside of Jaipur.

What are your favorite things about working at Wisteria?
During one of our warehouse sales, I met an elderly woman that was ecstatic because she finally got her Biblical Glass bowl. Seeing her smile for that one piece she has always wanted made it worth while.

What is one thing about you people probably don’t know?
As a kid my uncle had a dairy farm so I spent most of my weekends herding dairy cattle, setting hay and upsetting a few of the bulls.

What is your favorite place to visit?
So far I would have to say that little city by the bay (San Francisco)

What is the one place in the world you’ve never been but would love to go?
Italy

How would you describe your personal style?
Laid back and witty with a splash of spontaneity
What is your favorite Wisteria item?
W4567- Drumming Up Side Table

What is your most treasured item?
My family, I’d be lost without them

How many languages do you speak?
Two (English and Spanish) but I’m sure my mother wouldn’t include my Spanish as a language.

Craziest food you have ever eaten?
A Korean soup called Budaechigae. The reason it’s crazy to me is because it contains different ingredients every single time I try it (even if it’s at the same restaurant), yet it’s equally as delicious if not better than the previous time.

My one indulgence is:
Chocolate brownies

 Favorite spot in my house:
My kitchen

Favorite food:
Anything fresh off the grill

My pet’s name is:
Duke and Duchess (chocolate and yellow labs)

Favorite place to watch the sun set:
