You may recognize our newest Wisteria “model,” Charley, in our fall catalogs (She made her debut in our summer spreads earlier this year). In our Halloween collection, she is shown as a very adorable blue owl, and I couldn’t help but ask Paige, our Creative Manager, how she came up with this fantastic costume.
I was surprised to learn that it was quite simple. She cut out felt and fabric from an old men’s suit (she found at a thrift store for super-cheap) and hot glued them to an over-sized black t-shirt. That’s right, NO SEWING! Since you overlap the “feathers,” the glue doesn’t show. Even the mask was an easy task; felt glued to an inexpensive, basic black mask from the craft store.
