Exotic Decor at Our Dallas store

We are fortunate enough to go on several trips a year to such exotic locations as India, China, and South America. During our journeys we stumble across unique items that might be vintage, antiques, or even the last one left. So, every trip, we're sure to bring our empty suitcases to fill with these rare finds so we can carry them back home.

Handmade Books in Jaipur, India

Making Books by Hand

This company was started when three young friends rented a booth at a trade fair 14 years ago to sell books and bags made of handmade paper. This Indian artisan has grown great lengths since then and now specializes in handmade paper, bags, books, and leather products. They are located in Jaipur, India and also have a small group of designers and workers from a small village outside of Jaipur.

Mike’s pictures from Mustache Day!

Michael is one of the oldest members of Wisteria. He started working here in March 2004, which makes his tenure here the 3rd longest of all employees. He tries to hide his sentimentality behind his techy exterior, but deep down inside, he’s a really nice guy who loves working here.

What is your job here?

Manager of Imaging, Web Development, and Assorted Wizardry

What are your favorite things about working at Wisteria?

The great people and atmosphere and solving interesting problems.

What is one thing about you people probably don’t know?

If I told you, then people would know.

What is your favorite place to visit?

It’s probably a tie between my grandmother’s house and my extended family’s cabin in Colorado.

What is the one place in the world you’ve never been but would love to go?

Anywhere outside of the US

How would you describe your personal style?

Eclectic and eccentric. I’m known for: Sense of humor, vast amount of trivial/useless knowledge, finger guns when posing for pictures and making delicious food.

What is your favorite Wisteria item?

W701 Very Old Stone Wall Lamp. I also love some of the unique stuff we get in the outlet.

What is your most treasured item?

I don’t know; I have lots of cool stuff. I collect Star Wars stuff, A-Team stuff, records, antique books, and antique kitchen tools.

How many/what languages do you speak?

English, Nerdish

My one indulgence is:

Can I have two? Microbrews and expensive cheese

Craziest food ever eaten:

Well, I don’t know how “crazy” it is, but I ate some kimchi once, and I ate some sashimi another time. I didn’t like either of them.

Favorite spot in my house:

Probably the living room, but I’m a big fan of the kitchen as well.

Favorite food:

Pastrami

My pet’s name is:

Lucy. Named after Lucille Ball. She is a Corgi or Corgi mix, not really sure; I got her from a shelter.
