Having an impromptu Run for the Roses party this weekend? You should! And here is the classic recipe served for all derby day events: the Mint Julep. I can’t believe I have avoided making this drink for so long; I expected it to be complicated. But it is simple to make, and while the flavors are subtle the bourbon is strong.
Classic Mint Julep: 1 ounce minted simple syrup 2 cups crushed ice 2 ounces bourbon (I used Knob Creek.) Garnish with fresh sprig of mint. A little tip: Use the leftover simple syrup to sweeten non-alcoholic drinks like iced tea
Our Color Seeded Glass Tumblers and Candleholders are the perfect portion for serving mint juleps or any party drink. Another little tip: Chilling your glasses keeps your drinks fresh for longer!
